Exploratory first session

Service Description

This is a time and a safe space for your child to come and show me what's going on in their life, use art or collage, lego or play doh, crystals or the lovely sand tray with the dinosaurs and animals to express how they feel and what they'd like to change. It's an opportunity during this exploratory first session to ask any questions, for me to notice patterns of unhelpful beliefs and for them to get to know and trust that they can say whatever they like. They are not presented with difficult questions and there are no right or wrong answers. You or your partner will come with them for this exploratory session although if you decide to book a package of therapy sessions they will just be with your child or teen (unless they want you to be there).
