I'm updating the Engaging NLP books. "About time" I hear you say. But in truth, NLP hasn't really changed since it was developed in the 60s by Bandler and Grinder. I still use the techniques I wrote about in 2014 and will continue to do so as I add in other elements such as Play and Art Therapy, Crystals and of course the all-important EFT (tapping).
As I am focusing on the updated covers and adding more content and more up-to-date examples, I found myself reading the reviews on Amazon. I'm not someone who checks the reviews, I focus much more on seeing clients but I was delighted to read what mums are saying about it. I want to share the reviews with you here and urge you to buy your copy from me at £5 which is the special offer price on my website. You can of course buy it from Amazon which might work out cheaper if you're a Prime customer on Amazon.

Here are some of the ones I liked best but it's not too late to add yours on Amazon if you enjoyed it and found it useful.
"Judy's book takes the NLP concepts and makes them understandable for the Tween age group. As an NLP Practitioner, I found the book to be a very useful reminder of some of the most useful and impactive teachings. This is a great book and one every parent of a Tweenager should have to hand." Diane
"Having read several of Judy Bartkowiak NLP books & as the mother of an 11 year old just about to start secondary school, I eagerly awaited this book for Tweens. It did not disappoint!I read the book (after downloading it onto my Kindle) & thought it was very useful and mostly relevant.
The familiar format was fun & enjoyable to read. The quizzes especially engage the Tween reader.
I really loved the failure=feedback section, especially the scientist and the toddler analogy.I think some of it would be more relevant to the upper end of the age range." PR
"Great book!
I'm a german NLP Coach myself, but kids are not my main clients and sometimes I find it difficult to coach my own family. So thanks to the WWW I got in contact with Judy and got the book for my nearly 10 year old English speaking son. I felt that it made him proud to have his first own NLP book after having seen his mum reading a lot of Bandler etc. He took it because the book is not too big, so he really read a lot. It is wonderful how Judy meets the language and the topics of exactly this age group. The chapters are a good size, too, and the quizzes and exercises are very helpful. Many of the NLP basic skills are mentioned , so my son's knowledge is quite solid now. To summarize I would like to use an example written in the book: Judy describes that she didn't like what she heard from her son's Ipod and he answered: it is because you only hear the beats and I hear the music. My son and I, we are both visual, so translated to our main way to represent, it means: Judy's book makes us not to see only a colour but wonderful pictures in our life and even more - it supports us to paint. Definitely want to read more of Judy's books ." AJ
"Hooray! At last! I have been looking for a NLP book for this age group for a while. My daughter is 11 and often pops along to the NLP meetings with me, she then dabbles in my book collection, but they are all too wordy and complicated for her to understand.
In this book Judy Bartkowiak shows Tweens that they have Choices. The book is set out in workbook style for children to work through. It has short quizzes which enable the reader to understand 'how they work'. It explains NLP and the choices it gives, in a language that they understand and can relate to.
This book gives examples of everyday situations that Tweens encounter that they may find challenging, Judy then explains the NLP techniques and tools to aid them. These interventions are very easy to follow, with a sense of fun. She encourages a positive mindeset with a 'can do' attitude, covering areas such as Goal Setting, Confidence, Schoolwork, Friendships, Personal responsibility, self-belief and weight issues. Tweens learn how to Anchor a positive state, Time Line, Circle of Excellence, Swish pattern, and lots of other useful NLP techniques.
So glad that I found this book whilst my daughter is that age. She is loving it and has already informed me that she is a 'little chunker, likes choices and works towards things'! A definate must for those little NLPers!" SJ Diddle
I'm merging Tweens and Teens for the update. Here's the new cover. As you can see I haven't added the blurb yet for the back cover but I'd love to know what you think of the front.

I would love to know from those of you with secondary school age kids 12-18yrs what topics you'd like me to cover. Please get in touch and let me know.
I have almost finished writing Engaging NLP for Sport and there will be updated versions of 'Understanding children and teens' and 'Empower your kids' because I have asked for my rights back from the publisher so the covers are being changed. Engaging NLP for Children is now much longer so again I'm looking to sell off my stock of those at £5 too although they're £6.99 on Amazon of course.

I hope all your lovely children are well settled back at school and if they aren't please get in touch as I can help you.
